Dear Sexpert: How much importance should sex have in a healthy relationship?—Dissecting Relationships


Dear Dissector: This is going to sound like a cop-out of an answer, but the truth is that sex should be as important in a relationship as the people in the relationship want it to be. Many people in committed relationships are not sexual, or not very sexual, and many are very sexual. It just depends on the people involved in the relationship. Problems occur when people are not on the same page, but this doesn’t always lead to infidelity. People cheat or stray for many reasons. Sometimes it’s for physical satisfaction but more often, I think, for emotional fulfillment.
